How does the free trial lesson work?

After your registration, we immediately look for a suitable tutor. This tutor will contact you and schedule a completely non-binding trial lesson. Through this free trial lesson, the student can experience whether there is a good connection with the tutor.

What is the difference between online tutoring and tutoring at home?

You can choose between online tutoring or in-person tutoring with us. With in-person tutoring, the tutor comes to your home, but it can also be at a central location such as the library or school. Online tutoring takes place via online meetings, using handy tools to make the tutoring just as smooth as in-person sessions.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, after the first 3 months, our subscriptions can be canceled on a monthly basis.

Which subjects do you offer?

We offer all subjects that are taught in secondary school. From Spanish to Mathematics. Upon request, we can also offer subjects outside of secondary school and assist primary school students.

How are tutors selected?

All our tutors have their secondary school diploma and are studying or have graduated from university or higher professional education. Furthermore, our tutors are also selected based on their ability to calmly and clearly convey this knowledge to the students.

What if my child does not have a connection with the tutor?

If there is no connection between the tutor and the student, we offer another free trial lesson with a new tutor.

Bright Panda Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BRIGHT PANDA

ARTICLE 1:
GENERAL1.1

Bright Panda offers services, which include subscriptions and hour packages, through which you are connected with a tutor for tutoring lessons in specific subjects or exam training, hereinafter referred to as the “Products”.

‍1.2 These general terms and conditions (including all documents referred to herein and any other special conditions confirmed by us in writing, together the “Terms”) apply to all memberships and other offers of Bright Panda, whether online via the website brightpanda.nl or via other (online) sales channels.

‍1.3 Please read these general terms and conditions carefully before placing an order for Products on brightpanda.nl. By placing an order for our Products or using them, you automatically agree to and are bound by these general terms and conditions.

‍ARTICLE 2:

OFFER

2.1 The offered Products, including the stated prices, constitute a non-binding offer which you may accept. If an offer has a limited validity period or is subject to conditions, this will be explicitly stated in the offer.

‍2.2 Subscriptions refer to a fixed number of hours per 4 weeks. The subscription options offered by Bright Panda are: Small (4 lesson hours), Medium (8 lesson hours), Large (12 lesson hours), and X-Large (16 lesson hours). Any unused lessons are carried over to the next month. Unused lesson hours can only be carried forward to the following month. It remains possible to purchase additional lessons. Subscriptions can be cancelled monthly after 3 months.

‍2.3 We also offer Hour Packages, meaning you purchase a package with a set number of hours included. Bright Panda offers the following Hour Packages: Small (4 hours), Medium (8 hours), Large (12 hours), and X-Large (16 hours). Hours from an Hour Package are valid for 3 months. Unused hours will expire after this 3-month validity period. It remains possible to purchase additional lessons.

‍2.4 Combinations of subscriptions and hour packages are possible.

‍2.5 If you choose this option, you may receive a one-time free trial lesson of 1 hour.

‍ARTICLE 3:

THE AGREEMENT

3.1 The agreement is concluded at the moment the consumer accepts the offer.

‍ARTICLE 4:

PAYMENT AND PRICES

4.1 All prices on brightpanda.nl are in EUR.

‍4.2 Payment is made when placing your order. We accept iDeal, Visa, MasterCard, SOFORT, American Express, and SEPA.

‍4.3 It is your responsibility to immediately inform Bright Panda of any inaccuracies in the provided or stated payment details. All credit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the card issuer refuses payment, Bright Panda may reject your order.

‍4.4 If you make a late payment, Bright Panda may charge reasonable costs incurred in attempting to obtain payment from you.

‍4.5 Once paid, hours are not refundable. Unused hours can be carried over to the next month (in the case of a Subscription). In the case of an Hour Package, the hours are valid for a period of 3 months.

‍ARTICLE 5:

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

5.1 You must cancel a lesson at least 24 hours in advance. If the cancellation is not made within this time frame, the hour will be forfeited. Forfeited hours cannot be carried over to the following month.

‍5.2 In case of illness of our tutors, Bright Panda will reasonably arrange a replacement. If no replacement is possible, the cancelled hour will automatically be carried over to the following month.

‍ARTICLE 6:

CANCELLATION

6.1 In the case of a Subscription, this is considered a fixed-term agreement. It is entered into for a period of 3 months, after which it automatically continues for an indefinite period.

‍6.2 Cancellation is not possible during the first 3 months. After the first 3 months, a Subscription can be cancelled on a monthly basis. A Subscription must be cancelled no later than the day before the new month begins. The one-month period starts on the day the initial 3-month term expires. If a Subscription started on the 5th, you must cancel it (if desired) on the 4th of the following month.

‍ARTICLE 7:

ACCOUNT & PRIVACY

7.1 To purchase our services, you must create an account on brightpanda.nl. You are responsible for the security and proper use of your login details.

‍7.2 Some of your data is required to create an account. This data is handled with care. Your data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

‍ARTICLE 8:

MISCELLANEOUS

8.1 Bright Panda may amend these general terms and conditions at any time. By placing an order, you agree that the most recent version of these general terms and conditions applies to your order.

‍8.2 Bright Panda is not responsible for academic results achieved. Attending our tutoring sessions does not guarantee a passing grade or a high mark.

‍ARTICLE 9:

JURISDICTION

9.1 These general terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.

‍9.2 Any disputes that may arise between the parties, insofar as not settled otherwise, will be submitted in the first instance to the competent court.
